OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
Be responsible for maintaining an entire technology infrastructure including networks, Firewalls, Servers, backups, WAN/VPN, VMware and storage solutions.
In addition, the successful candidate will liaise with service desk, project teams and 3rd party suppliers on a regular basis, ensuring high availability at all times.
Ensure that all systems conform to industry standard security guidelines, are in line with vendor best practices, and comply with the company Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery service agreements.
This position works closely with the Head of IT Service Delivery and technical team leads ensuring that any proposed solutions fully integrate with existing technology and architectural patterns.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5 years IT system administration experience
MCSE-qualified
Citrix experience (preferably Citrix Certified)
VMWare (preferably VM certified)
Storage experience
Backup/restore experience
COMPETENCIES
Support and maintain the Windows 2003/2008 Server enterprise infrastructure.
Maintain and support Active Directory domain/s, MS Exchange, DNS/DHCP/IIS, and File Servers in a heterogeneous, mixed-platform environment.
Establish, document, and enforce Windows Server and desktop security policies.
Develop, document, and maintain Enterprise-wide package management solutions for Windows
Servers and desktops using WSUS or an alternate solution.
Maintain and enhance Enterprise-wide AV software (McAfee EPO).
Support and maintain Citrix infrastructure (XenApp 5)
Support and maintain VMWare infrastructure (Vsphere 4 preferred)
Monitoring of VM, Citrix and network infrastructures
Troubleshoot and analyze systems, perform fault resolution, and configuration management and conduct periodic maintenance of all systems towards achieving optimum operating efficiency.
Perform advanced hardware troubleshooting for Dell PowerEdge Servers located in data centers across Europe.
Knowledge of IP Networks and Firewall configurations
Provide out of office hours support.
